BETHLEHEM, Pa. - UMBC men's soccer earned its first clean sheet of the season, drawing Lehigh 0-0 on the road on Saturday evening. The Retrievers are 2-1-1 on the campaign, while the Mountain Hawks sit 0-2-2. 

Saturday's match saw just four shots on target and 16 shots total in the scoreless draw, with Joe Pollard making one save to earn his first shutout as a Retriever. Lehigh goalie Anton Kinnunen made three saves to keep UMBC off the score sheet in the contest. 

Gunder Miller put the first shot on frame in the contest, forcing a Kinnunen save in the 23rd minute, leading to a UMBC corner kick. It proved to be the lone shot on goal of the opening 45 minutes. 

In the second half, Abdul Kamara put a shot on target in the 65th minute, once again negated by Kinnunen to keep the match at 0-0. UMBC's final shot on target came in the 67th minute as captain Adamo Pantaleo challenged Kinnunen, but it was once again turned away. 

Pollard made his lone save of the match in the 68th minute as Lehigh's Shea Coughlin put the River Hawks lone shot on frame. 

Saturday marked the fifth meeting between the programs since 2005, with UMBC extending its streak of unbeaten matches to three straight. 

UMBC will travel to Virginia to take on Old Dominion at 7 p.m. on Friday.
