Hannah Dobbs was nearly flawless, tallying 17 kills on .571Â hitting with only one error as the UMBC Volleyball team swept host Bryant (25-22, 25-19, 26-24) on Sunday afternoon.
The Retrievers (6-5, 2-0 AE) were dominant most of the match, needing only to really rally in the third set when they trailed 23-17 and 24-22, but scored the final four points of the match to win.Â
Natalie Harris had 12 kills and eight digs, andÂ
Isabel Ostvig had a double-double with 29 assists and 10 digs. Ostvig also added three blocks, three kills and an ace.
Claudia Llamas picked up 10 kills three digs and two blocks, including teaming up with
Grace Larrivee on the match-winning block. Larrivee had a pair of kills and two blocks, and
Jalynn Brown added a season-high four blocks of her own.Â
Dobbs contributed with nine digs, while
Hannah Howard led UMBC with 13 digs and six assists.Â
The Dawgs return home to host NJIT next Sunday at 3 p.m. at The Peake.
