Dobbs Shines, But Volleyball Falls in Five

BALTIMORE – The UMBC Volleyball team dropped a tough five setter (21-25, 18-25, 25-16, 26-24, 15-11) against George Mason at The Peake on Friday evening. 

Hannah Dobbs led the offense for the Retrievers with 21 kills. Claudia Llamas had 12 kills and Jalynn Brown tallied 10 in the loss. Isabel Ostvig had a double-double with 40 assists, 10 digs and added six blocks.

Hannah Howard led the way defensively with 27 digs and added six assists. Freshman Dasia Johnson had three aces, and Grace Larrivee and Alissa Grant each tallied five blocks.

UMBC will face George Washington at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena on Saturday. The match is set for 4 pm.
