2026 men's basketball graduate guard DJ Armstrong Jr. has signed with the Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets.
 
Armstrong Jr. participated in the 2026 AWS NBA G League Combine, which was held in Chicago last May. The event allowed NBA prospects to showcase their talent to NBA and NBA G League scouts, coaches, and front-office executives.  He was eventually invited to play for the Orlando Magic Summer League squad but was unable to participate due to injury.

Armstrong Jr. earned Second Team America East honors and joined the AE All-Academic Team in 2025-26. He claimed the America East Tournament MVP award after scoring 33 points (including a title game record seven treys) in the championship game against Vermont. He finished 8th in the America East in scoring (13.3 ppg.), slotted first in threes per game (2.7), and led the league in three-point field goal percentage (.419). The Orlando, Florida native swished at least two treys in 24 of 33 contests last season.

The Swarm enters the 2026-27 season as reigning G League champions.
