Young, Roberts Sweep AE Weekly Awards

BOSTON - After strong performances at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational this weekend, Enazajah Young and Ava Roberts combined to sweep the America East Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards. 

Young was named the league's Track Athlete and Rookie of the Week, while Roberts was named Field Athlete of the Week. 

Young won the 100 hurdles on Saturday, clocking a time of 13.44 to break the UMBC program record for the third straight weekend. Young also moved into the top five all-time on UMBC's performance list in the 100. She currently ranks 49th nationally in the 100 hurdles. 

Roberts won two events, the shot put and the discus, and set a new PR in the hammer throw with a 51.05-meter toss. She won the shot put with a 16.42-meter throw, and the discus with a 49.06-meter throw. 

The Retrievers split up this weekend to compete at the JMU Invite and the Bison Outdoor Challenge.
