Retrievers Impress on Day One of Dalton Ebanks Invitational

FAIRFAX, Va. - UMBC kicked off day one of the Dalton Ebanks Invitational with numerous impressive performers moving into spots on UMBC's all-time performance list. 

Running the 400 hurdles, Justin Febles placed second with a time of 52.67, moving up to third on the all-time list. 

Justin Banks also moved into third all-time at UMBC, running the 800 in 1:49.67 to place third. Joey Ensor finished fifth in the event with a time of 1:49.95, while Sofiane Compaorg finished ninth with a time of 1:59.94 to move into ninth on UMBC's list.

The UMBC trio of Daniel Danilovitz, John Saltysiak, and Kieran White showed well in the 5,000, placing third, fourth, and sixth. Danilovitz finished third with a time of 14:35.22, while Saltysiak and White moved into the all-time top-10, ranking sixth and ninth, respectively, with times of 14:36.60 and 14:39.76. 

Karell Clement and Martin Ojulu placed eighth and ninth in the 200 with times of 21.44. 

Day two of the Dalton Ebanks Invitational begins at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
