Iosif Papa and Toren Burr are on the America East All-Academic Team

Burr and Papa Named to America East All-Academic Team

BOSTON -- UMBC Men's Track & Field standouts Toren Burr and Iosif Papa have been named to the America East Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team, the Conference announced on Wednesday.

Burr, who qualified for NCAA Regionals in outdoor after winning gold in the Javelin at America East Championships, is a graduate student pursuing an MPS in Entrepreneurship Innovation and Leadership with a 3.88 GPA

Papa is a two-time Honorable Mention All-American in the discus after he recently qualified for NCAA Championships for the second-straight year. The 2026 America East Outdoor Championships Most Outstanding Field Performer won the discus for the third time and has a 3.50 GPA in Financial Economics.
