PHILADELPHIA - The UMBC men's outdoor track & field team continued competition on day two of the Penn Relays.
The 4x400 relay team of
Kemarley Hibbert,
Justin Febles,
Jacob Martin, and
Rhema Nkwocha qualified third for tomorrow's final, clocking a time of 3:11.36, the sixth-fastest time in the event since 2010 for the Retrievers. The final will take place at 5:10 p.m. tomorrow.Â
Running in the college division, the 4x100 relay team also qualified for Saturday's final, clocking the second-fastest time at 40.91 seconds. The group consisted of
Fred-Morgan Iheanacho,
Alim Raji,
Martin Ojulu, and
Karell Clement.Â
The men's DMR team of
Thomas Foulkes,
Weston Carr,
Ryan Hartranft, and
Grayson Ruffner placed 10th in the event with a time of 9:53.80.Â
Ojigwe Olua finished 15th in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.27 seconds, while
Scott Gersten and
Toren Burr finished 17th and 18th in the javelin with throws of 55.66 meters and 55.57 meters.Â
