Ava Roberts electrified UMBC's showing at the University of Virginia Challenge on Saturday, shattering her own school record in the discus.
Roberts finished in sixth place overall with a throw of 50.71 meters (166-4), powering past her previous best of 50.34 meters (165-2) set in 2024.
Enazajah Young and
Winter Evans blazed to fourth and 11th in the 100-meter hurdles. Young, the school record holder, raced through in 13.83, while Evans, second all-time, delivered a swift 14.16.
Three Retrievers stormed the 200 meters, led by
Madisyn Bobb's impressive 13th-place in 25.14.
Jayda Solomon (25.25) and
Miyana Johnson (25.54) finished in 16th and 29th, respectively.
Lilly Norcross and
Lily Strelecki impressed in the 800 meters, both charging to personal-best times. Norcross grabbed 28th in 2:15.21, with Strelecki barreling in at 2:15.40.
Anna Creel continues to shine, remaining fourth all-time in the 200 after a blazing 24.24 in the 200 Invite, narrowly missing a personal-best.
