The UMBC Softball team continues its home stand as it hosts Holy Cross for a four game weekend series at The Diamond. The two teams will play doubleheaders on both Saturday (1 p.m) and Sunday (11 a.m.).
Last time out, teh Dawgs split a doubleheader with Lehigh on Wednesday.
UMBC earned a 4-3 victory, before the Mountain Hawks took the second game, 14-2 (5).Â

Scouting Holy Cross:
- The Crusders (4-8) fell to North Dakota by a final score of 9-0 to close out the Spartan Round Up in Norfolk, Va., on Sunday, Mar. 8.Â
- Emma Pietrzak went 1-for-3 with a double
- Camryn Lasota went 3-for-4, two doubles, a walk and three RBI
- NDU got on the board in the top of the second with a two-RBI single by Jaedyn Valdez.
- North Dakota extended its lead to 3-0 with an RBI single by Lastota in the top of the third.
- NDU scored six additional runs in the sixth and seventh innings to increase their lead to 9-0.
