Nine Retrievers Named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A total of nine members of the 2026 UMBC Softball program received Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced this week.

Sophie Anderson, Amaya Carroll, Elena Clark-Wilson, Abbie Frisvold, Maggie Frisvold, Riley Gallagher, Brittany Howe, Skyler Smith and Ella Squaires all earned a 3.5 or higher GPA in 2025-26

The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division I led the way with 2,637 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2025-26.
