Creel Leads the Way for Track & Field on Saturday

University Park, PA. – The UMBC Track & Field program wrapped up competition at the Penn State National Open on Saturday with several personal bests.

Anna Creel set a personal best and the best time so far in the America East in the 200 meter with a time of 24.52 to finish fourth. Lily Bady also set a personal best in the 200 meter with a time of 24.82.

Lydia Nelson ran a personal best in the 1000 meter with a time of 2:56.41. Lily Strelecki also ran a personal best in the 1000 meter with a time of 2:58.69. 

Micah Haskins set a personal best in the 3000 meter with a time of 10:04.96. Janine Amefia finished 10th in the triple jump with a leap of 11.48.

Joey Ensor joined the PR group on the Men's side with a 2:26.08 finish in the 1000. Kieran White, Kieran Mischke and John Saltysiak took spots 8-9-10 in the 3000.

The 4x4 Men's relay team of Rhema Nkwocha, Justin Febles, Kemarley Hibbert, Jacob Martin finished sixth in 3:15.30.

The Retrievers return to Penn State next weekend for the Sykes & Sabock Challenge.
