Banks and Olua Earn America East Weekly Honors

BOSTON -- After another set of strong performances, both Justin Banks and Ojigwe Olua earned America East weekly honors, the Conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Banks was named the Track Performer of the Week after he finished 10th in the 1 Mile (Invitational) in 4:05.51 at the Dr. Sander Scorcher, the best time in the America East so far this season by nearly three seconds.

Olua was named the Rookie of the Week after he won the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.91. It was the top time in the America East, and he is the only sub-8 second performer.

UMBC is back at Penn State this weekend.
