Men's Soccer Opens America East Play at No. 7 Vermont on Saturday Afternoon

UMBC looks to stop a three-game losing streak on Saturday evening against No. 7 Vermont, the defending national champions.
The Retrievers suffered a 1-0 loss to the George Mason Patriots last Friday evening at Retriever Soccer Park, despite controlling much of the match. The Retrievers outshot their opponents 16-8 and earned ten corner kicks, compared to six for the Patriots.
UMBC created several quality scoring opportunities but could not find the equalizer after George Mason (3-2-1) capitalized on their first chance of the game in the 17th minute.
