BALTIMORE --
Danny Orr and
Matthew Best homered, but the UMBC Baseball team dropped a pair of games to visiting NJIT on Friday at Alumni Field.
The Highlanders scored a late run to take a seven-inning game one, 4-3, before winning the nightcap, 15-5 in seven innings
Nick Pratt went 3-for-3, while
Leewood Molessa had two hits and an RBI,
Jesiah Carpenter,
Anthony Mascuilli and
Sergio Droz also had a hit in game one. Orr also added a double in the contest.
In game two,
Nico Ong had a three-run double and Mascuilli added an RBI single. Best hit his homer in the sixth, while
Luke Buscaglia and Droz also singled.
The final game of the series has been moved to 1 p.m. on Saturday
