BALTIMORE --
Derek Paris homered and drove in three runs, but the UMBC Baseball team dropped a 14-7 decision to visiting George Washington on Tuesday.
Paris had a two hit game and walked in a run in the bottom of the first, homered in the third and hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth.
Nick Pratt had three hits, including a pair of RBI doubles, and
Nolan Kutney had an RBI single
Jesiah Carpenter had a hit and a sacrifice fly, while
Luke Buscaglia and
Danny Orr each had a pair of hits.
Danny Wyatt also had a hit for UMBC.Â
Evan Selmer (1.1) and
Aidan Denham (2.0) each had scoreless outings out of the bullpen for the Retrievers.
UMBC heads to UMass Lowell for a three-game series that begins on Friday.
