Fresh off taking two of three from Bryant, the UMBC Softball team will head to league-leading Binghamton for its penultimate series of the regular season. The series will have a 1 p.m. Saturday doubleheader, and the finale will be at noon on Sunday.
UMBC celebrated its senior class in style, as it defeated visiting Bryant, 14-2, in five-innings on Saturday to clinch its fifth America East series victory of the season.

Phoebe Florian were honored by the program.
Matter picked up the 50th win of her career, going all five innings, and allowing just two runs on three hits. Nutile went 3-for-3 with a homer and two RBI, Brenowitz went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Florian went 1-for-2 with a run scored.
Haley Luginbill smashed a two-run homer in the bottom of the first, en route to a 2-for-3 day with four RBI.
Amaya Carroll added a grand slam in the fourth,
Ella Squaires had a two-run single and
Amya Lundy added a hit of her own. Every Retriever in the lineup scored at least one run, with Nutile and Lundy adding stolen bases.
Scouting Binghamton:
- Junior first baseman Emma Lawson and sophomore catcher Elisa Allen each drove in three runs, highlighting Binghamton's split against Cornell in a non-conference softball doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
- The Bearcats (26-12) won the first game 6-2 but were defeated 4-1 by the Big Red (16-16) in the finale.
- Allen went 3-for-7 (.429) during the day with a home run to go along with her three RBI. Lawson, meanwhile, was 3-for-6 (.500) with a pair of doubles.
- Graduate student Lindsey Walter, meanwhile, hit a team-best .571 (4-for-7) and scored a team-high two runs.
