BALTIMORE -- The UMBC Softball team once again rallied from an early hole, fighting back from a 3-0 first inning deficit, but visiting Fairleigh Dickinson broke a fifth inning tie to win 5-4.
Jerzie Nutile went 3-for-4 with a homer and
Parker Kraus had her first career RBI in the contest. Hailey Luginbill and
Amya Lundy also drove in runs for UMBC, while Amaya Caroll also had a hit.
Maggie Frisvold was brilliant in relief, going 4.2 innings giving up just the one run on a pair of soft singles.
The Retrievers will head to Towson on Tuesday.
