Jordon Lewis named to All-Conference Second Team; 7th Seeded Women’s Basketball Heads to 2nd Seed Vermont

Jordon Lewis earned America East All-Conference Second Team announced Wednesday afternoon. 

Lewis led the Retrievers with 11.9 ppg shooting .421 from the field goal line and averaged 5.1 rpg. 

She previously earned America East Player of the Week on 2/17 this season.

The UMBC Women's Basketball team will head back to Vermont to face second seeded Vermont Catamounts for the Jersey Mike's America East Quarterfinals on Thursday at 5pm on ESPN+. 

The Retrievers finished the regular season at Vermont on Saturday afternoon where they lost 79-59. Lewis led the way with 19 points and four rebounds. Talia Davis contributed 10 points and a team-high six rebounds. Jaliena Sanchez also had eight points, while Carmen Yánez had a team-high six assists in the loss. 

This will be the third straight season in which the two teams have faced off in Burlington for the America East Playoffs. Vermont won in the Semifinals in 2023, and the Quarterfinals last season.
