Athens, Ga. -- Bella DiGiandomenico and Skyler Smith each had impressive outings on Sunday, but the UMBC Softball team dropped an 11-1 (5) decision to Stetson. 

Smith hit an RBI double in the fourth to score Emily Riggs for her first career RBI. DiGiandomenico worked three innings of relief, striking out three and allowing just two unearned runs on one hit. 

Parker Kraus and Ella Squaires also drew walks in the contest.

The Retrievers return home to host the UMBC Round Robin beginning next Friday. The tournament features Holy Cross, Rhode Island, Cornell and Fairleigh Dickinson.
