BALTIMORE --

The Retrievers rallied again in game two, but a run in the final frame gave the River Hawks a 4-3, seven-inning, win in game two.
UMBC found itself in an early 4-0 hole in game one (originally a seven inning contest) before a

Jesiah Carpenter and Mascuilli hit back to back RBI doubles in the sixth to cut the lead to 7-5 in the sixth.
UML pushed the lead back to 8-5 before
Luke Buscaglia, Carpenter and Mascuilli drew three straight bases loaded walks to tie the game and force extras. In the bottom of the ninth, Carpenter signled and then raced home from first to score on Mascuilli's first pitch double down the line in left.
Nick Remy retired all five batters he faced to earn the win, including striking out the final four batters in a row.
In game two, the River Hawks went up 3-0 in the first, before Wyatt hit an RBI double in the bottom of the first to make it 3-1. It remained 3-1 until Leewood Mollessa tied the game in the fifth with a two-run homer, before UML re-took the lead in the seventh.
