Nico Ong went 1-for-1 with a pair of walks and a stolen base, while
Jesiah Carpenter had an RBI sac fly as the UMBC Baseball team opened the 2025 season by falling to host Stetson, 11-1, in eight innings on Friday night.
Danny Orr had the other hit for the Retrievers, who drew six walks overall.
Danny Wyatt walked and stole a base, and
Luke Buscaglia also stole a base.

Kyle Eddington also drew walks, with Eddington also scoring on Carpenter's fifth inning sacrifice fly.
