  • NJIT responded in the 81st minute, drawing a foul to set up a Giovanni Massacesi free kick. The free kick from just outside the box found the head of Junee Lee, who guided the ball into the net with the back of his head to tie the contest at 1-1.

  •  After falling behind late in the first half, the Retrievers intensified their efforts in the final 45 minutes. They applied significant pressure, particularly in the last 20 minutes of the match.
  •  Junior forward Brady Geho, who led the team with four shots, had a golden opportunity in the 50th minute. After receiving a pass inside the center of the box, his shot from eight yards out sailed over the crossbar.
  •  The Retrievers (4-5-2, 0-2-1 America East) earned nine of their 12 corner kicks in the second half and finally capitalized in the 71st minute. Senior forward Kofi Amoah (first career assist) delivered an accurate left-footed ball to the back post, where Ocran leaped and headed it just inside the left post from close range for his first career tally.
  •  UMBC nearly took the lead with 10:36 remaining after another corner kick, this time taken by sophomore defender Adamo Pantaleo. Pantaleo found Geho alone at the back post on the right side. With Wildcats' goalkeeper Scott Williams out of position, Geho headed the ball toward the goal, but senior defender Matteo Piccardo managed to get his head on the shot, redirecting it off the line to prevent a score.
  •  New Hampshire (3-5-4, 1-1-1 AE) scored in the 35th minute with a superb free kick by graduate midfielder Matteo Brossel, who beat senior goalkeeper Emigdio Tormo Lopez from 25 yards out.
