Hannah Howard has been named the America East Defensive Player of the Week, the Conference announced on Tuesday morning.
Howard had 32 digs in only seven sets, including 19 in the four set win vs UNH to clinch the regular season title. She also had eight assists in the win over UNH, and also added three aces for the week. Howard was 29/29 in serve receive and anchored defense that held opponents to .120 hitting.
The Retrievers close the regular season at UAlbany on Friday at 6 p.m.
