Softball Falls at Towson

Towson, Md. -- The UMBC Softball team dropped an 8-0 decision to host Towson in five innings on Wednesday afternoon.

The Tigers broke open a tight game with a six-run third inning, and then added a single run in both the fourth and fifth. 

Ella Squaires went 2-for-2 for the Retrievers, while Amaya Carroll, Amya Lundy, Meghan Shirey and Isabella DiGiandomenico each added hits. DiGiandomenico doubled in the fifth inning for her first career hit. 

The Retrievers return home to host UMass Lowell this weekend.
