Softball Drops Pair at Binghamton

Vestal, N.Y. -- Amya Lundy hit her third homer of the season, but the UMBC Softball team dropped a pair of contests, 7-1 and 3-1, to host Binghamton on Saturday afternoon.

Lundy had a pair of hits, including a solo homer in game one, before adding another hit in game two. 

Amaya Carroll had a hit in both games, while Jerzie Nutile, Ella Squaires and Jolie Torrens also had hits on the day. 

Maggie Frisvold came on in relief in game one, allowing just two earned runs while striking out four in five innings of work.

Kya Matter allowed just three runs in six innings in game two.

UMBC hosts Saint Francis on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
