The UMBC Volleyball team returns to America East play this Sunday when it travels to UAlbany for a 3 p.m. match.
Last time out, the Retrievers dropped a tough five-set match (23-25, 8-25, 25-19, 27-25, 15-13) at Howard on Wednesday night.
Howard (14-5) had won seven straight matches, all via sweep, entering the contest.
Senior
Mia Bilusic had a game-high 25 kills, eight blocks, seven digs, and three aces, while graduate student
Aysia Miller notched a game-best 23 digs, nine assists, and one ace.
Freshman
Izzy Ostvig lifted the offense with 23 assists and two kills, and fellow setter
Serin Maden had 22 assists of her own.
Freshman
Hannah Dobbs recorded 13 kills and seven digs, while
Helen Frankovich had nine kills (.316 hitting) four blocks and three digs.
Senior
Mila Ilieva had eight blocks and three kills, and fellow middle
Abby Erickson who had five kills and four blocks.
Sophomore
Hannah Howard finished with 12 digs, and
Jada James added a pair of aces.
Freshman
Laura Fuehrer recorded both her first career kill and block in the second set.
Last Friday, UAlbany, who hosts Binghamton on Friday night, swept Bryant at home.

Elisavet Papageorgiou led the Great Danes with 12 kills. Redshirt-junior
Kendall Harris followed closely behind with 10 kills. Freshman
