BOSTON -- For the second time this season,
Aysia Miller has been named the America East Defensive Specialist of the Week, the Conference announced on Tuesday morning.
Miller averaged a league-best 5.2 digs/set last week in a 2-0 week for UMBC. She contributed a career-high tying 32 digs in a 3-2 win over UNH on Sunday, and also added five service aces and nine assists overall for the week.
The Retrievers make the short trek to D.C. to face MEAC leader Howard (13-5, 7-0) on Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
HU is looking to extend its win streak against the Retrievers. Currently, Howard has the seventh best defense in the country, allowing an opponent .143 hitting percentage.
