The UMBC Volleyball team returns to America East play on Sunday when it welcomes New Hampshire to The Peake for a 1 p.m. matchup.
Last time out, redshirt freshmanÂ
Jada James had the best night of her young career to lead the UMBC Volleyball team to a four set win (25-20, 25-19, 17-25, 25-14) over visiting Coppin State on Wednesday night at The Peake.
James led the team with 14 kills and a career-high seven blocks, as well as five digs and one ace.Â
FreshmanÂ
Hannah Dobbs had the first double-double of her career with 10 kills, a career-best 11 digs, two blocks, one assist, and one ace.Â
SeniorÂ
Mila Ilieva hit for .500 as she finished with eight kills and six blocks.Â
Graduate studentÂ
Aysia Miller notched 15 digs, seven assists, and four aces.Â
SophomoreÂ
Helen Frankovich had eight kills and one block, while graduate studentÂ
Abby Erickson with three kills, six blocks, and one dig.Â
Scouting New Hampshire:
- The Wildcats swept visiting Binghamton last Sunday.
- The set scores were 28-26, 25-23, 25-21.
- Senior outside hitter Ezgi Karabulut led UNH's attack with 12 kills and 12.5 points.
- Graduate student outside hitter Hannah Serbousek was next up with 7 kills and 8.5 points.
- UNH used two primary setters as sophomore Jessica Shattles led the 'Cats with 24 assists and freshman Ellery Singleton recorded 16.
- Junior libero/defensive specialist Avery LePore led the team with 12 digs.
