The UMBC Volleyball team returns to the road as it heads to Rhode Island to face America East foe Bryant on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Helen Frankovich took over in the final two sets as the UMBC Volleyball team stormed back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat visiting UAlbany in five sets (20-25, 18-25, 25-16, 25-23, 15-10) on Sunday at The Peake.
Frankovich tallied nine kills with no errors and .692 hitting, and added four of her five total blocks, in the final two sets. The sophomore totaled 14 kills on .357 hitting for the match. See how it was explained

Mia Bilusic continued her hot streak as she finished with 18 kills, 10 digs, two blocks and one ace. Â

Aysia Miller notched 22 digs, four assists, and one ace, alongside redshirt freshmanÂ
Jada James who picked up 11 digs, two aces, and one assist.Â

Serin Maden secured a season-high 33 assists, four digs, and one ace, while freshmanÂ
Izzy Ostvig finished with 21 assists, one kill, two blocks, and one dig.Â

Abby Erickson added five kills on no errors and four blocks.

Following their stellar performances in a 2-0 week, UMBC Volleyball's Bilusic and Dobbs were named the America East Player and Rookie of the Week, the Conference announced on Tuesday morning.
Bilusic averaged 4.6 kills and 2.0 digs in the wins, including 19 kills, which is tied for the most by an #AEVB player in a three-set match this season, and six digs in a win over Binghamton on Friday. She then followed that performance with 18 kills and 10 digs in a comeback 3-2 win vs. UAlbany. This is Bilusic's first #AEVB Player of the Week honor of the season and eighth of her career.
Dobbs averaged 4.4 kills/set in two matches, including career and match-high 22 in five-set win over UAlbany. This is Dobbs' first #AEVB Rookie of the Week honor of the season.
Scouting Bryant:
- Bryant currently has three players in the conference Top 10 for kills. Aubrey LaPour is second in the league with 251 kills (3.54 k/s), Arianna Ugolini is fourth overall with 196 kills (3.27 k/s), and Fabi Castro is tenth with 107 kills (2.38 k/s).
- Ugolini is also leading the America East in service aces with 32 (0.53/s).
- Carrina Barron remains the conference's leader in digs as she currently has 287 (4.04/s).
- London Hunt is third in the America East in hitting percentage (.324). She is also ninth overall in total blocks with 48 (0.81/s).
- Brookelyn Talmadge is seventh in conference for blocks with 54 (0.92).
