University Park, Pa. -- The UMBC Volleyball team hung tough with No.13 Penn State before falling in three sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-17) on Friday night.
The Retrievers were led on offense by
Kamani Conteh's 10 kills, while
Mia Bilusic and Julija Grubisc Cabo each had seven kills and six digs.Â
Hannah Howard had a match-best 13 digs, and Micehla De Marzi had six kills on .455 hitting and a pair of blocks.
Emily Ferketic had four kills and a season-high three blocks, while
Mila Ilieva added three blocks of her own.
Serin Maden and
Bird Alford had 17 and 12 assists, respectively.
UMBC will remain at Penn State through the weekend as they face Seton Hall there on Sunday at 1 p.m.
