How it Happened:
- Bucknell jumped on the board immediately as a grand slam put the Bison up 4-0 four batters into the contest

- The Bison would get a run back in the top of the fifth to make it 5-3, but Sargent stranded two in scoring position to keep the Retrievers within reach
- In the bottom half of the inning, Trythall would blast a three-run homer high off the scoreboard in right center to put UMBC up 6-5
- Ben Craig (Keezletown, Va.) entered to pitch the sixth for the Retrievers and got a strikeout to strand a runner in scoring position and keep the hosts up
- Craig worked a perfect top of the seventh, picking up his third and fourth strikeouts in the proccess, to keep UMBC ahead going into the seventh inning stretch
- Justin Taylor (Reston, Va.) got a leadoff single in the bottom of the seventh and moved to second on a one-out single from Trythall
- Matt Ryan (Bethesda, Md.) would drive in Taylor with an RBI double to make it 7-5
