BOSTON -- Mia Bilusic and Hannah Howard took home honors in the final set of America East Weekly Volleyball awards, the Conference announced on Tuesday.

Bilusic was named Player of the Week after she helped UMBC earn the outright #AEVB regular-season title and #AEChamps hosting rights after going 2-0 in crucial matches this weekend. The Croatia native hit .333 on the week while recording 24 kills, 20 digs, and 28 points. She shined against NJIT on Friday,  tallying a game-best 15 kills on .414 hitting and eight digs

Howard earned the Defensive Specialist of the Week nod as she helped hold Highlanders to hitting .167, recorded 12 digs in 3-set win on Friday. In the regular-season finale, she helped hold Great Danes to .137 hitting pct. and tallied 20 digs, 8 assists.

UMBC will host the America East Tournament that begins this Friday at The Peake. The Retrievers will face Bryant at 5 p.m. in the first semifinal.
