BOSTON -- UMBC voleyball freshman libero Hannah Howard was named the America East Rookie of the Week, the Conference announced on Tuesday morning.

Howard led UMBC with 16 digs to average 5.33 per set, as she anchored a defense that held NJIT to hitting only .059, including 0.0% in the first two sets.

The Retrievers host Binghamton on Thursday night at 5 p.m.
