UMBC Volleyball (5-5) makes the short trip to Coppin State on Tuesday evening, Sept. 20 for another challenging non-conference match. The action gets underway at the Physical Education Center at 6:00 p.m.
RETRIEVER NOTEBOOK
·       The Retrievers extended their winning streak to four with a 3-1 victory over Old Dominion on Friday, but then dropped a five-setter at VCU and a three-setter to North Carolina in Richmond, Va. on Saturday.

Kamani Conteh was named to the All-Tournament Team of the VCU Invitational. She posted 56 kills in the three matches, including 28 versus the Rams.
·       Freshman setter
Serin Maden was named America East Setter of the Week on Sept. 13. In addition, sophomore
Mia Bilusic was tabbed as the Player of the Week.
·       UMBC currently leads America East in assists (12.3) and kills (13.3) per set.
·       Conteh (4.55) and Bilusic (4.23) and are 1-2 in the league in kills per set. Bilusic is also tops in services aces (0.63), while Maden is far and away the leader in assists at 10.35assists per set through 40 sets in 2022.
·       Bilusic is sixth in the nation in services aces per set, while Maden is 12th in assists per set.  Â

A GLANCE AT THE EAGLES Â Â Â
·       Coppin State is 9-6 and is on a current seven-match win streak.
·      The Eagles recently swept Radford at the Liberty Invitational, after knocking off Eastern Michigan and the host Flames.
·      Graduate student Miajavon Coleman leads the team in kills with 175.
·      Senior libero Ashley Roman leads the team in digs with 295.
·      The last time the Retrievers and Eagles faced was Sept. 20, 2021 at the Chesapeake Insurance Arena, where the Eagles took down the Retrievers, 3-1.
·       Coppin State has won two of the last three matches, but UMBC leads the all-time series, 18-4-1.   Â
