Lonchar Homers in Regular Season Finale

Box Score Vestal, N.Y. -- With the regular season crown and top overall seed in the America East Tournament clinched, the UMBC Softball team fell to host Binghamton, 10-3, on Sunday.

Anna Lonchar (Bristow, Va.) hit a solo homer, while Logan Hawker (Mechanicsville, Va.) hit a two-run double to account for the UMBC (28-10, 12-6 AE) scoring. Madie Leach (Erie, Colo.) pitched four solid innings, while Kya Matter (Dalmatia, Pa.) worked a perfect 1.1 innings in relief.

Lonchar was the only Retriever with multiple hits in the contest, while Karly Keating (Orlando, Fla.), Casey Turner (Baltimore, Md.) and Madison Wilson (Abingdon, Md.) also had hits.

UMBC returns to Binghamton later this week as for the America East Tournament. They will face the winner of the No.4 Binghamton vs. No.5 Hartford game on Thursday.
