Volleyball Falls in Four Sets on Senior Day

Box Score BALTIMORE -- The UMBC volleyball team closed the home slate with a four set loss to visiting New Hampshire (15-25, 25-17, 27-25, 25-17 ) on Sunday afternoon.

The Retrievers honored seniors Kamani Conteh (New Castle, Del.), Emily Ferketic (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Kayla Tomas (Silver Spring, Md.) prior to the match.

Mila Ilieva (Vidin, Bulgaria) had a brilliant match for UMBC (14-7, 6-2 AE), finishing with 10 kills and seven blocks. 

Aysia Miller (Mililani, Hawaii) led all players with 25 digs, while Conteh had 14 kills.

Weronika Wrzesinska (Frednowy, Poland) had 14 digs.

Sarin Maden (Ankara, Turkey) had 37 assists and a career-high 17 digs in the effort.

Mia Bilusic (Zagreb, Croatia) finished with 12 kills and seven digs.

The Retrievers conclude the regular season with a road trip up north. They face Bryant on Friday and UAlbany on Sunday.
