Volleyball Falls to Binghamton in Five Sets

Box Score BALTIMORE – The UMBC Volleyball team saw its 24-match America East winning-streak end in a five-set thriller to visiting Binghamton (23-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-20, 15-13 ) on Sunday afternoon.

UMBC trailed 12-6 in the 5th and rallied to tie at 13 before Binghamton took the final two points.

Kamani Conteh (New Catle, Del.) led the way on offense for UMBC (13-6, 6-1 AE), finishing with 18 kills and 10 digs, but Binghamton (14-7, 5-2 AE) had a pair with 20 kills of their own. 

Serin Maden finished with 43 assists in the defeat.

Mia Bilusic (Zagreb, Croatia) had 15 kills and 11, while Mila Ilieva (Vidin, Bulgaria) had four kills and a match-best nine blocks.

The Retrievers head to D.C. to face Howard on Wednesday night befor returning home to host New Hampshire at 1 p.m. next Sunday for Senior Day
