ALBANY – Playing their third road game in the span of five days, the UMBC women's basketball team fell, 69-40, to UAlbany on mid-day on Wednesday.
Graduate student forward 
Janee'a Summers (Bound Brook, N.J.) led the Retrievers with 12 points and moved into thirteenth place on UMBC's all-time scoring list with 1,125 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED  
	- The Great Danes converted their first nine field goal attempts of the game, including all three shots from behind the arc, and led, 21-2, just 4:37 into the contest.  The Retriever defense stiffened and only permitted four points the rest of the quarter, but the visitors trailed, 25-10 after 10 minutes.
 
	- UAlbany led, 36-17, at intermission and 48-30 after 30 minutes. 
 
UMBC hit all 11 free throw attempts in the game to improve upon a solid 73.5 percent on the season.
Graduate student guard 
Danae Marquez (Fresno, Calif.) added eight points and three steals.
The Retrievers return home to face Maine on Saturday, Jan. 22. Tip-off time at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena is set for 5:30 p.m.
