Box Score LOWELL, Mass. - In the final road game of the season, the UMBC women's soccer team fell, 4-0, to the division-leading UMass Lowell River Hawks on Saturday afternoon.

UMass Lowell moves to a program-best 5-1-1 on the year and remains undefeated in conference play at 4-0-0. UMBC falls to 1-3-1 overall and 1-3-0 in America East contest.
STRAIGHT FACTS
The Retrievers kept the River Hawks at bay in the first half as UMass Lowell scored their first goal in the 35th minute.
UMBC had two good looks early in the second period from senior Meredith Webber (Yardley, Pa.) and freshman Meghan McKye (Toronto, Ontario, Canada), but both chances were met by UMass Lowell's goalkeeper.
The River Hawks then added two goals, including a penalty kick, in less than five minutes to take a 3-0 lead in the 71st minute.
UMBC sent another slew of shots, seven on goal in total for the game, towards the net, including ones from seniors Christina Corbi (Medford, N.J.) and Elysia Paolillo (Holliston, Mass.), but were not able to connect.
UMass Lowell added one final goal in the 86th minute to take the 4-0 lead.
Freshman Grace Harvey (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) sent one final shot towards the goal with 22 seconds on the clock in hopes of putting the Retrievers on the board.
In the game, senior Jade Wilkins (Stoney Beach, Md./The Catholic High School) made seven saves, tying her season-high.
ONTO THE NEXT ONE
The Retrievers will end the 2021 season on Friday, April 9 when they welcome the Binghamton Bearcats to Retriever Soccer Park. The match is set for a 2 p.m. start.
During the final game, the team will recognize five seniors: Jade Wilkins, Meredith Webber, Elysia Paolillo, Erin Stevenson, and Christina Corbi.
