en's and men's swimming and diving teams return home on Saturday, Nov. 6 when they host the Towson Tigers. The meet gets underway at the UMBC Aquatic Complex at 1:00 p.m.

- Both swimming squads competed at William & Mary last Saturday.

- On the women's side, junior Kylie Kelly (Hagerstown, Md.) earned her first gold of the season by capturing the 200 yard butterfly in a time of 2:11.02.

- Junior Makayla Ludwick (Gulf Breeze, Fla.) placed second in 1000 freestyle (10:52.18) and in the 500 freestyle (5:16.98). She earned two of the team's six silvers in the meet.

- The men were led by senior Kai Wisner (Syracuse, N.Y.) and junior Gabe Laracuente (Gaithersburg, Md./Good Counsel) at Navy's Lejeune Hall. Â

- For the men, fifth-year senior Kai Wisner (Syracuse, N.Y.) continued his outstanding early season efforts by capturing both the 500 and 1000 freestyle events.

- Senior Matt Bennici (Walkersville, Md.) and junior Gabe Laracuente (Gaithersburg, Md./Good Counsel) touched the wall first in the 200 butterfly and 200 freestyle respectively.

- The Towson women are 2-2, with victories over James Madison and Johns Hopkins and setbacks to Navy and William & Mary.

- The Tiger men's squad have dropped meets at Navy and to Johns Hopkins and cruised past William & Mary. Â

- The two squads met at Towson in the 2019-20 season. The Tiger men edged UMBC, 153.5-144.5, while the TU women triumphed, 162-133. UMBC senior Natalija Marin (Belgrade, Serbia) won three events, the 200 freestyle and both butterfly events. Wisner won both the 500 and 1000 freestyles and senior Luka Zuric (Setauket, N.Y.) triumphed in the 200 yard backstroke.

UMBC completes its four meets in four weeks stretch when they host VMI on Saturday, Nov. 13. The meet always gets underway at 1:00 p.m.
