She then blasted a three-run homer to score Daigneau and Logan Hawker (Mechanicsville, Va.). Later in the fourth, Dawson would hit her two-run double to score Pierce and Anna Lonchar (Bristow, Va.) and make it 7-0. Coppersmith would add a single in the sixth to complete her perfect day at the plate.

In game number two, recorded 13 strikeouts for UMBC (4-9) in six scoreless innings of work, but the Blue Hens (16-4) got to the Retriever bullpen and walked-off with a 1-0 win.

UMBC will now return to Baltimore for nearly a month, as they will play 20 straight in the area including 19 in a row at home. The Retrievers will play their lone remaining non-home game of the month when they go to Towson to take on Saint Francis (Pa.) on Friday afternoon. They will then return home the next day for a doubleheader against Colgate on Saturday and another twin-bill against Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday.
