Swimming and Diving Completes Day One of ECAC Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - A handful of swimmers from UMBC swimming and diving teams took to the pool on Friday on the first day of the ECAC Championships. 

Sophomore Ilia Rattsev earned a second place finish in the men's 50 free, touching in with a time of 20.11. 

Junior Hania Moro finished fourth in the women's 500 free, clocking in with a time of 4:52.97. Freshman Kai Wisner finished third in the B final (11th overall) in a time of 4:30.41.

In the women's 200 IM, junior Aleasha Knight finished fifth in a time of 2:05.36.

On the boards, junior Elijah Wright finished fourth in the 1 meter dive with a score of 271.70. Sophomores Ben Parker and Leo Buoye finished six-eight with scores of 243.70 and 206.70, respectively.

Day two of the ECAC Championships will continue with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. from Piscataway.
