Retrievers Start Strong on Day One of ECAC/IC4A Championships

RESULTS 

Princeton, N.J.—UMBC track and field opened the ECAC/IC4A Championships with a handful of competitors taking to the track on Friday. Two women and two men competed in distance events on the day. 

The women saw Sophia Cologer lead the way with a sixth place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase. Cologer crossed the line in a time of 10:34.31. Katelyn Callaghan also competed on Friday, taking 13th in the 10,000m run with a time of 36:24.91. 

Matthew Kane and Austin Hayslett competed on the track for the men, with Kane finishing 21st in the 5,000m run (14:50.54) and Hayslett taking 21st in the 10,000m run (31:52.17).

Day two of the ECAC/IC4A Championships kicks off at 10 a.m. from Weaver Stadium in Princeton.
