RESULTS

Indianapolis, In.—UMBC swimming and diving senior Emily Escobedo (New Rochelle, N.Y./Maria Regina) continued her strong run at the NCAA Championships, setting another school record in the 100 breast.

The New York native finished the prelims in a time of 59.15, good for third place in her heat and tenth overall. She followed that up with a new school record in the B finals with a time of 58.48, winning the race to earn her second Honorable Mention All-American honor in as many days.

"Emily was amazing tonight. Winning the B final by taking it out is new to her and she did it right," head coach Chad Cradock said on Friday night. "We are looking forward to one last great day. Our whole program is so proud of her tonight," he continued.

Escobedo will conclude her historic career in the 200 breast, where she is currently seeded third. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. with finals starting at 6 p.m.
