Watson Continues Stellar Play, But UMBC Drops Decision to Binghamton

Vestal, N.Y. – Junior libero Kristin Watson (Bowie, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) had a match-high 20 digs, but the UMBC Volleyball team (13-11, 5-5 AE) dropped their last road match of the season to Binghamton (10-14, 7-4 AE) in four sets (25-22, 23-25, 25-15, 25-12) on Sunday afternoon at West Gym.

Classmate Krytsia Negron (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Colegio Adianez) had a team-best 36 kills, while redshirt junior Paola Rojas (San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico/Notre Dame) had her second best hitting percentage of the season, hitting .533 during the match.

Binghamton hit .256 during the match, holding the Retrievers to a hitting percentage of .176 throughout the night. 

UMBC returns home to finish the season, beginning on Friday, November 10 against UMass Lowell. The match is slated to start at 7:00 pm.
