Escobedo Finishes 200 Breast Prelims in Second Place; Earns Spot in A Finals Tonight on ESPN 3

Atlanta, Ga.-- UMBC swimming and diving junior Emily Escobedo (New Rochelle, N.Y./Maria Regina) has earned a spot in the A finals of the 200 breaststroke at the NCAA Championships. The New York native earned a spot, after finishing tied for second in the prelims with a time of 2:06.82. 

Escobedo will become the first Retriever All-American following the race tonight. She already earned the distinction of Honorable Mention All-American last night with her 15th place finish in the 100 breast.
