Escobedo Competes In 100 Breaststroke on Day Two of NCAA Championships

Greensboro, N.C.-- Sophomore Emily Escobedo (New Rochelle, N.Y./Maria Regina) competed in her second event of the NCAA Championships in the 100 breaststroke. Escobedo earned a 42nd place finish in the event.

Emily touched the wall in a time of 1:01.32, after qualifying for the event with a time of 1:01.01 set back at the ECAC Championships. Sarah Haase of Stanford won the event, finishing in a time of 58.32. 

Escobedo will conclude the 2015 NCAA Championships, and the 2014-15 season with the 200 breaststroke on Saturday. Heading into the event, Emily is seeded with a time of 2:09.66.
