-Two Retrievers scored two goals apiece as the UMBC women's soccer (6-5) team dominated Howard (1-8-1), 5-1, Friday evening at UMBC Stadium. The Retrievers have won five of their last seven games after a 1-3 start and move back above the .500 mark for the second time this season.

Senior forward Missy Moore (Silver Spring, Md./Good Counsel) scored her first goal of the season just 1:52 into the game, giving UMBC a 1-0 lead and control of the game for good. The goals are Young's eighth and ninth of the season, giving her a career-high 18 points.

Junior forward Amanda DiCarlo (Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada/St. Paul's) put back her own rebound at 61:43 to give the Retrievers a 4-0 lead. Just over two minutes later, Howard's Kyrah Bacote scored the Bison's only goal of the night at 63:57 to cut UMBC's lead to 4-1. But DiCarlo struck again for her fifth goal of the season at 85:03 on a sliding shot to give UMBC a 5-1 lead.
