Derek McElligott scored just 34 seconds into overtime as UMBC (3-3) defeated St. Peter's (4-1), 1-0, to win the Mountaineer Invitational in Emmitsburg, MD on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

McElligott, who totalled 2 goals and 3 assists in the two games, headed in a corner kick from the left side by Michael Joseph. Sophomore netminder Andy Marchica, making his first collegiate appearance, recorded a two-save shutout.

McElligott, Joseph, Alex Wilmot and Saturday's goalie, Brian Rowland, each earned All-Tournament tteam honors.
